How It All Began. The Story of BLUEGLASS.
Sometimes, the best stories begin with a change of heart, and an unexpected meeting.
In 2002, Olivier Roux had just left the glass packaging industry in France, convinced he was done with bottles and factories. But fate had other plans. A chance encounter in Stockholm with the purchasing manager of one of Sweden’s largest independent breweries would spark a conversation - and ultimately, a company.
That conversation led to the creation of BLUEGLASS., founded from curiosity and connection. The first project? A striking blue long-neck beer bottle, now a modern classic used by brewers around the world. That bottle not only launched a long-standing collaboration with one of our most valued partners but also gave us our name.
From a Single Bottle to a Trusted Partner
Over two decades later, BLUEGLASS. has grown into a leading glass packaging supplier in Scandinavia and Canada. We offer both standard and tailor-made glass solutions for clients in the beer, spirits, food, and non-alcoholic beverage industries.
But we have never forgotten our roots, or the small producers who inspired us from the beginning.
Designed for the Independent Maker
As the industry evolved, we noticed a pattern: passionate distillers and micro-brewers with brilliant products, held back by costly moulds and inflexible packaging options. Too often, they were forced to compromise, choosing generic bottles over designs that truly reflected their brand.
So we created Bespoke by BLUEGLASS. - a curated series of ready-to-stock, high-demand bottles with a premium look and feel, without the need for hefty investment or large stock commitments. By offering regional exclusivity and annual limited production runs, we help our clients stand out without overproducing.
It is about making great packaging more accessible - because every product deserves a bottle that tells its story.
